Regarding every three minutes, a kid is born with a cleft lip and/or cleft palate, according to global data. In Thailand, 1 to 450 children are born with a cleft lip and/or palate. Almost discovered in the Northeast, around 1,500 persons every year, not including children without birth notice. People with cleft palates may experience substantial health, dental, and speech problems, as well as discrimination and social isolation.
We are concerned about children with cleft lips and/or palates in Thailand. We are donating with the operation smile foundation for providing safe surgeries to underprivileged children and young adults at no cost to address facial deformities such as cleft lip, cleft palate, and burns.

On February 6,2023, DSTH volunteer employees joined social support activities at Phayao hospital, Phayao province. In this activity, our employees supported making medical records for screening cleft lip and/or cleft palate and burns patients. In addition, our employees are supported to make “No No Arm Band” for children patients. What is “No No Arm Band”? No No Arm band is to protect IV tube on patient’s arm from scratching. Before the surgery, nurses put IV tube on patient arm, and when some children patients felt not well, they would scratch the IV tube and it would make risk. The No No Arm band is used to protect patient’s arm and appropriate treatment.

We continue to pursue to our head quarter CSR policies which can contribute to a sustainable society and enhance our reputation as a good corporate citizenship.
